Lloyd's Tire & Auto - Santa Cruz
When I'm having car trouble I don't want just any ol' auto shop that will diagnose the problem and fix it; I want a car-therapist. I want a place where I can drop by and talk about how I feel about my car troubles. Maybe the problem is something that needs to be fixed right away and leaving it go any longer would be like suicide. Or perhaps I can buy Johnny the new shoes he needs this month while nursing along the car ailments a little longer. After-all, my car doesn't live in a vacuum all by itself. It is one of the many parts of my life, and I have to balance it's needs with the rest of the family's needs. I guess that's why Lloyd's has all of those "Female Friendly" awards all over their walls. There's no condescending double-speak about manifolds and radiators and stuff I really do not want to hear about. I just want to know how bad it is and how soon I'll be stranded out on the road with a car full of kids. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really trust Lloyd's. I feel like they are the mechanics in the family who are always going to give me good advice, and so I never mind shelling out the dough when I absolutely have to. If I may quote Olivia Newton John, "[Lloyd's,] I love you; I honestly love you."
